Stage set for quarter finals

The last league round of the Mokokchung Inter ward football tournament was played on March 27. 
Arkong trashed Kichutip5-0 to enter into the quarter finals. Temsutoshi of Arkong could score only one goal in the first half of the game, however in the second half more goals poured in. Aripong scored two goals and Mulodong and Temsutoshi scored one goal each to total the goals to five.

In the second match between Lijaba Lijen and Majakong, the first goal of the game was scored by Arennungsang of Lijaba Lijen in the 26th minute. Another goal for Lijaba Lijen came in the second half of the game through Takosunep. With the second goal, Lijaba Lijen sailed through to the quarter finals ending the game 2-0.

Sangtemla and Dilong came face to face in a do or die match in the third match. None of the teams could score in the first half of the game, making the match more intense. However, in the second half. Lanuakum opened the account for Dilong ward which was equalised by Sangtemla four minutes after they scored. Sangtemla scored an own goal in the last minute of the game knocking themselves out of the tournament. 

Mongsenbai scored 4-0 against Marepkong to enter the quarter finals. The first goal for Mongsenbai was scored by Menjur in the 28th minute. Imnatoshi scored the secons and third goal in the 38th and 43rd minute, while the fourth goal was scored by Imtikumzuk in the 53rd minute.

 Alempang and Tongdentsuyong were on the winning side. The first match between Arkong and Kumlong ended in a score line of 2-0 in favour of Arkong ward. The goals were scored by Rongsentemjen and Temsutoshi in the 14th and 37th minute.

The fifth match between Penli and Artang ended in a goalless draw. However, Artang sailed through to the quarter finals with one win and one draw match aggregate in the league matches. Penli had lost one game against Alempang in the league matches aggregate.
