Moava village falls under Tsüüma & CPO’s jurisdiction: TVC

Chümoukedima, June 13 (MExN): The Tsüüma Village Council (TVC) today stated that the Tsüüma village is a “traditional village of Chakhroma Angami Range and by traditions and customary usages the Maova Village falls under the jurisdiction of Tsüüma Village.”

Hence, it is self explanatory that Moava Village falls within the ambit of Chakhroma Public Organisation (CPO) jurisdiction, asserted a notification issued by TVC Chairman, Rülie Meyase and Tsüüma Head GB Nisalie Kuotsu.

The Maova Village Council had issued an order on April 9, 2023 in local press and corrigendum for the same on May 25 2023, it said.

Accordingly, the TVC declared “to One and All that Tsüüma Village is the legitimate land owner of, Moava Village” and informed that “all Immovable properties transaction, no objection certificates (NOC) and any such traditional taxes” should be ‘obtain/issue/pay through from/to”  from  Tsüüma Village.

It further stated that the Tsüüma Village “has not declared/made any specific demarcation for Moava Village settlement” and asserted that the traditional boundary of Tsüüma on the North is Ruzaphema Village, Sub-Div-Medziphema, under Chümoukedima district.

The TVC, thus, informed that “individual person/s/Group/s/Society or Agencies undertaking any work activities in violation of this Notification shall deem to doing so at their own peril”.

'Our concern is not with the people living in Moava Village, but to make conspicuous stand that Moava village Land traditionally belongs to Tsüüma village,' the notification added.
