Piphema, July 17 (MExN): An education fair was organised by the Department of Education at Modern College, Piphema, on July 17, providing students a platform to showcase creativity, innovation and practical applications of educational concepts, a college release said.

The fair, which featured 26 participants, displayed self-designed educational models, teaching aids, and interactive exhibits on diverse educational themes. The event aimed to promote experiential learning, collaborative engagement, and the development of innovative teaching-learning practices.

The programme was inaugurated by Dr Vitso Yano, Principal of Modern College, Piphema. Earlier, the proceedings commenced with a welcome address by Kekhrivi, followed by an introductory speech by Debasish Bora, Assistant Professor in the Department of Education, who outlined the objectives of the fair and stressed the importance of creativity, experiential learning, and effective use of teaching-learning materials in modern education.

The exhibits reflected students’ critical thinking and practical understanding of educational theories and methodologies, according to the organisers. The event also helped participants strengthen their communication, presentation, and teamwork skills while fostering peer learning and exchange of ideas.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Cilule Ndang, Assistant Professor, Department of Education. The Education Fair 2026 reaffirmed the department’s commitment to promoting innovative teaching practices and experiential learning, the release added.
