Mokokchung, July 31 (MExN): The Mokokchung District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) has approved the registration of three new societies and reviewed the status of several infrastructure and development projects during its monthly meeting held on July 30 at the Deputy Commissioner's Conference Hall.
The meeting, chaired by Rural Development & SIRD Minister and DPDB Chairman Metsubo Jamir, began with a review of the previous meeting's minutes and the Action Taken Report.
The board approved the registration of Life Anew Foundation of Unger village, Mokokchung District Disabled Association, and Langpangkong Development Board, Chuchuyimlang.
Members also discussed incomplete centrally and state-sponsored departmental projects, construction of welcome gates at the Tsutapela and Tuli state borders, progress of the Nagaland Special Development Zone, the status of the Mokokchung Circuit House, and LADP Iconic Projects from 2019-20 to 2025-26. The board also approved LADP schemes for 2026-27.
Other issues taken up included financial assistance for the Dr T Ao Inter-District Football Tournament Silver Jubilee 2026, the district's disaster situation, funds collected under the Nikshay Mitras initiative, and work allocation for the Independence Day celebrations.
The District Rural Development Agency also presented an overview of its ongoing activities. The meeting was attended by Advisor for Information & Public Relations and Soil & Water Conservation Daochier I Imchen and concluded with a vote of thanks by Deputy Commissioner and DPDB Vice Chairman Ajit Kumar Verma.
