Mon, November 4 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer (DEO) of Mon, Wennyei Konyak, NCS, has informed the schedule for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, 2026 has been extended.
According to a DIPR release, this follows a notification by the Election Commission of India has extending the notice phase, including the disposal of claims and objections, until November 25, while the final publication of the electoral roll is scheduled for November 30.
Konyak directed all Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) to take note of the revised schedule and ensure that all pending activities related to SIR 2026 are completed within the stipulated timeline.
He also instructed them to inform all Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and supervisors under their respective jurisdictions and ensure strict compliance with the revised schedule.
