Mon, November 17 (MExN): The 3rd Mon District Volleyball Association (MDVA) Trophy was held from November 13-16 at the Mon town local ground. Organised by MDVA, a total of 16 teams- 10 (men’s) and 6 (women’s) participated in the tournament.
A press release informed that the Konyak Baptist Bumeinok Bangjim Youth lifted the men’s volleyball Trophy, while Lohtoh team were the runners-up.
Trophies, certificates along with cash prize of Rs 30000 and Rs 20,000 were given to the champion and the runners-up respectively.
Pangwao team were declared the women’s volleyball champion while the runners-up were the Strive club from Mon town. Trophies, certificates along with cash prize of Rs 20000 and Rs 10,000 were given to the champion and the runners-up, respectively.
Alem from KBBBY was awarded the ‘best spiker’ while Khampon from Tizit team was adjudged the ‘best setter.’
