The five day long 50th Games & Sports Meet 2025 of the Mima Youth Organisation (MYO) concluded today with MLA Kevipodi Sophie as the guest of honour.
Later, Sophie unveiled the foundation stone of the new playground of Mima at Phiesazü.
50 wrestlers joined the Naga wrestling event in which Neingusazo Ngukha emerged the champion.
Rokovito Lese, Visa Ngukha and Kelechülie Tepa bagged 2nd, 3rd and 4th position respectively.
The program was chaired by Vikhozo Yietsu, Convenor jubilee organising committee while special number was presented by Viphrenuo Kiso.
Vote of thanks was proposed by MYO advisor Vingutuo Khamo.
The MYO 50th edition, which commenced on January 13, concluded today with jubilee nite and bonfire.
Mentionably, Salhoutuonuo Kruse, Minister for Women Resource Development & Horticulture graced the meet as the chief guest on day one with Vilelie Khamo, Class 1 contractor as the chief host.
The patrons for the meet include Er. Vizoto Seletsu, Executive Engineer, Tourism Department, Roko Angami, OSD (Sports), Youth Resources & Sports and Peteneilhou Tepa, OSD to Minister for Power & Parliamentary Affairs.
The golden jubilee meet was marked by cultural events, athletics, football, volleyball, sepaktakraw, badminton, table tennis and Naga wrestling. The meet was held under the presidentship of Mhaphruovilie Livi, president MYO and jubilee organizing committee convenor, Vikhozo Yietsu.
