A section of the congregation during the inaugural service of the Naga Baptist Leaders Meet held at Union Baptist Church, Ukhrul on March 25.
Ukhrul, March 25 (MExN): The three-day Naga Baptist Leaders Meet, hosted by the Tangkhul Baptist Churches Association (TBCA), commenced at Union Baptist Church, Ukhrul on March 25.
The event is organised under the theme ‘One Faith, One Lord, One Baptism’, with the goal of fostering unity and strengthening the bonds of fellowship among the Nagas.
“Thousands of leaders from Nagaland, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Myanmar, and Manipur have gathered for this significant event,” a press release received here stated.
The inaugural service, Rev Ramkhaning Tungshang, Pastor, Dwarka Community Church, Delhi delivered the sermon based on the theme.
The service was led by Medowelou Wezah and Mashun Khangrah while Dr Rampaukoping Michui, Executive Secretary of ZBCC said the invocation. Rev Dr H Gideon, General Secretary of Fellowship of Naga Baptist Associations (FNBA) gave the introduction and Rev Dr Mathotmi Vasha, Executive Secretary of TBCA, delivered the welcome address.
The presidential address was given by Rev Dr Visor H Zeliang, and greetings were shared by Rev Dr Mar Pongener, General Secretary of NBCC. A special prayer for Naga leaders was offered by Khontele Seb, President of DBWU.
Songs were presented by the Local Choir and NBCC Choir, drama was presented by Dimapur Ao Baptist Arogo and closing prayer was pronounced by Rev Alani Shongsir, ES, MNBCA.
