Dimapur, December 9 (MExN): Kekhrieneitso Angami won his featherweight bout against Ankur Patel from Mumbai by unanimous decision while K Mungling Konyak beat Sameer Jhanjotra from Chandigargh via knockout in the first round itself at the X1 international hosted in Chennai on December 8.
The matches at Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research, Chennai saw Longtsukumba Ao fighting in the night’s main event - the X1 featherweight belt. He lost via unanimous decision to Kaushik Saikumar from Chennai.
All three fighters were trained out of The Combat Academy, Nagaland in Dimapur, a press note informed.
