Naga in UAE confirms safety, urges calm

Amidst escalating tensions and retaliatory strikes involving the US, Israel and Iran, members of the Naga community residing in the United Arab Emirates are reported to be safe and well.

The community association, ‘Nagas in UAE,’ issued an official statement on Tuesday to reassure family members and well-wishers back home in India following the heightened conflict in the region.

“By God’s grace, our community in the UAE is safe and keeping well. We remain calm and continue to follow official announcements and guidance from the relevant UAE authorities,” the association stated on its official Instagram account.

The community acknowledged the outpouring of support from families and well-wishers. “Grateful for the messages, prayers, and concern… Let’s continue to look out for one another, rely on verified information, and remain calm and united. Together, we stay strong,” it stated. 

“Thank you to everyone who has reached out to check on our well-being,” the statement read.

The Committee of ‘Nagas in UAE’ urged the community to remain remain calm and continue to follow official announcements and guidance from the relevant UAE authorities. “We kindly encourage everyone to rely only on verified government sources and to comply fully with any advisories issued through official channels,” they added.

The association confirmed that it remains in close contact with its registered members and will disseminate any relevant updates through its official platforms. “As a community association, we remain united and supportive of one another,” the community asserted.
