Dimapur, July 29 (MExN): An Offroader from Nagaland participated and won an event at the recently concluded the ‘Isuzu RFC India Season 5’ held in Goa from July 21-28. Yanren Jamio from Association of Offroaders Nagaland (AON) with Satish Kumar sealed the 1st position in 1611cc to 3010cc petrol engines category.
It was fifth edition of Rain Forest Challenge (RFC) India which started in 2014 with its mother event held at Malaysia and rated as top 10 toughest motorsports event in the world. Yanren, a mechanical engineer who deals and modifies offroad vehicles, participated at the event for the 5th time.
The overall champion was taken by Jagat Nanjappa and Chetan Changappa from V5 Offroaders based in Coorg, who were 1st runners up last year in the same event.
A total of 41 participants vied for the top spot to be named best offroader in the country, including an all female team.
