Naga students in Dehradun ‘bridge gap’ with 6th Sports Meet

Dehradun, March 26 (MExN): The 6th Naga Sports Meet 2025 was organised by the Naga Students’ Union Dehradun (NSUDD) and the Dehradun Eastern Nagaland Students’ Union (DENSU) from March 20 to March 22 at Tula’s Institute, Dehradun.

The event was held under the theme “Bridging the Gap,” emphasising unity, sportsmanship, and community bonding among Naga students in Dehradun, informed a press release from the organisers.

Gracing the event as the chief guest, Major Pannyim Konyak encouraged and motivated all the participants.

Four teams – Falcon, Tragopan, Mithun, and Hornbill – competed in various sporting events conducted over the three days, with students actively participating and displaying high levels of skill, determination, and teamwork, it said.

As per the release, a highlight of the 2025 edition was the introduction of Naga Wrestling in the Naga Sports Meet.

This addition was widely appreciated as it helped promote Naga culture while adding to the competitive spirit of the event, it said.

After intense competition across multiple disciplines, Team Falcon emerged as the overall champion of the 6th Naga Sports Meet, the release said.

The 6th Naga Sports Meet 2025 successfully fostered unity, strengthened friendships, and encouraged a healthy competitive spirit among the Naga students and concluded on a high note, with participants and attendees looking forward to the next edition, it added.
