Kohima, June 16 (MExN): In exercise of the powers conferred under Article Twenty Six Clause (3) Sub- Clause (c) of the constitution of Naga Students' Federation (NSF) and to ensure free and fair conduct of election, the office of the Election Commission NSF announced Election to the Executive Council and Assembly Executives of Naga Students' Union Shillong (NSUS) for the tenure 2026-2027.
The election code of conduct shall be binding on all intending candidates and affiliated units under NSUS in toto.
Election will be conducted for the post of President, Vice President, General Secretary, Assistance General Secretary, Secretary Finance & Treasurer, Secretary Culture, Secretary Publicity, Secretary Games & Sports, Editor, Women Coordinator, Assembly Speaker, Deputy Speaker and Assembly Secretary.
The Commission has fixed June 29 as the date for issuance of forms, submission of names of enrollment in Electoral College by the Units and submission of nomination papers.
The formality for withdrawal of candidate, scrutiny and announcement of candidates, self-Introduction of the candidates, polling, counting of votes and declaration of votes will take on June 30.
The poll will be conducted at NSUS office Shillong.
Time schedules will be notified before 48 hours of commencement of electioneering process.
This election schedules is for strict compliance/adherence by all the intending candidates and units under NSUS, according to Chief Election Commissioner Neizokhotuo Belho and member secretary Atokiho Sumi and Imtiwapang Imsong.
