Nagaland beat Manipur in C.K. Nayudu trophy

DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 25 (MExN): Nagaland U-23 men’s team won its third consecutive four-day match of the Col C.K. Nayudu trophy by beating Manipur by 9 wickets at NCA Stadium, Sovima, Dimapur today.  

At the first inning, Manipur scored 325 runs all out, while Nagaland scored 462 runs. In the second inning, Manipur scored 198 all out which gave Nagaland a target of 62 runs after suffering a deficit of 137 runs in the first innings.  

Earlier, Nagaland beat Sikkim at Bhubaneswar and Meghalaya at Shillong. The next match is at Golaghat from November 30 to December 3 against Arunachal Pradesh. Other matches are against Pudduchery from December 8 to 11, against Mizoram from December 16 to 19, against Bihar from December 24 to 27 and against Uttrakhand from January 1 to 4.  

The top team of the group will qualify for All India Knock-out stage.
