DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 23 (MExN): The Nagaland cricket team that beat Sikkim in the ongoing Vijay Hazare senior Mens one day tournament in Vadodra, Gujarat. Nagaland won the match by 7 wickets.
Nagaland is to play eight in the Plate Group-D and out of three matches played so far, Nagaland won two and lost one. Tomorrow Naga is up against Uttrakhand at the same venue.
Captained by Jonathan Rongsen, Nagaland won the toss and put Sikkim to bat. Sikkim were restricted to 121 in 49 overs. Imliwati and Ravi took two wickets each for the Nagaland team.
In reply, Nagaland reached their target losing just 3 wickets in 26.2 overs. The top scorers for Nagaland were KB Pawan 83 (91), Sedezhalie 14 (45) and Abrar 18 (20).
The state team has won two out of the three matches played so far and is up against Uttarakhand on September 24.
