Nagaland BJP chief calls for strong youth leadership at Moatsü fest

Dimapur, May 2 (MExN): Nagaland BJP president Benjamin Yepthomi on Saturday underscored the pivotal role of youth in nation-building and community development while addressing the Moatsü festival 2026 celebration at Aoyimkum village in Dimapur.

Addressing the gathering as the special guest, Yepthomi said that youth are not merely the leaders of tomorrow but the leaders of today, and encouraged them to take initiative, build strong character, and contribute actively towards societal progress.

Emphasising the importance of values and faith, he urged the gathering to remain rooted in their spiritual beliefs and uphold obedience to God in their daily lives, stating that strong moral foundations are essential for a united and progressive society.

He also appreciated the efforts of the organisers for successfully hosting the event and promoting unity, cultural heritage, and youth engagement.

The Moatsümong festival, celebrated with traditional fervour at Aoyimkum, reflected the rich cultural heritage of the Ao community and reinforced a spirit of unity, identity, and pride. The festival was organised under the aegis of Aoyimkum Lanur Telongjem.
