Nagaland State BJP celebrated the 46th Foundation Day at the party head office, Kohima on April 7. Nagaland’s Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton graced the occasion by hoisting the party flag at the Office HQ, Kohima which was attended by National and State officials of all rank and file.
Addressing the gathering, Patton, who is also BLP leader and NEC Member, said the occasion is a significant day for the BJP marking the establishment of a political movement that has grown stronger over the decades guided by the principles of commitment and progress in the service of the people of India.
He further said that, with time, BJP has become the largest political Organisation with the commitment and dedication of leaders like Atal Bihari Vajpayee, L.K Advani, Amit Shah, JP Nadda and many others.
The growth of the party has been powered by a clear vision for the country and the tireless work of the members, Patton said adding that the party was established on ideals that connect with the core values of our diverse nation, seeking progress and development for every section of the society.
He also stressed that the strength of the BJP lies within its organisational structure and not just its leaders.
Discipline, commitment and dedication of the workers are the true pillars of the party. Today, the party and the nation is benefitting from the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. His vision “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayaas” guides the government's efforts towards inclusive development, Patton said.
Earlier, the BJP Nagaland state president Benjamin Yepthomi extended his greetings to all the party Karyakartas across the state.
In his message, the state president encouraged all the party workers to work hard at the grassroot level carrying forward the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi of Viksit Bharat.
He also asked the party workers to re-affirm the commitment to serve the people with dedication and integrity with the motto “Nation First, Party Second and Self Last”.
The BJP foundation day program was held across all the districts and 60 assembly constituencies & booth levels of the state.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Arvind Damani, NEC Member BJYM while invocation was pronounced by Yovi Shohe, Associate Pastor, SABC, Kohima. Welcome address was delivered by Thomas Magh, Chief Spokesperson while special song by was presented by BJYM Kohima. Vote of thanks was proposed by Ankit Jain, President Minority Morcha.
