The 4th U-15 Sub Junior National Boxing Championship 2025 concluded recently in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, with Haryana dominating the event by clinching overall team titles in both the boys and girls categories. The weeklong championship, held from August 7 to 13, saw the participation of more than 700 young boxers from across the country.

Nagaland was represented by seven participants, who returned home safely on Saturday after competing at the National Championship. The state’s contingent included four girls – Diethoneino, Senthunglo T. Jami, Likupu S. Shohe and Marcy Tungoe – and three boys, Kevingulir Rio, Shachu Konyak and Senkathung Y. Kithan. The team was accompanied by coach KevibuKapfo.

Team manager K.K. Nagi expressed gratitude to the Directorate of Youth Resources and Sports, Kohima, for their support.

“I am grateful for their contributions to nurturing the young generation of boxers and creating opportunities for them to compete at the national level. We look forward to more such opportunities for our talented boxers in the future,” Nagi said.
