AIZAWL, MARCH 24 (MExN): Four special delegates represented the Nagaland Chess Association (NCA) at the North East Chess Festival 2025, held in Aizawl from April 20-21.
The delegation included Kiyaselie Mere, Veshosa Keyho, Mengise Haikam, joint secretary of NCA, and Vekukho Soho, honorary secretary of NCA. They joined 111 participants from across the northeastern states at the festival.
The two-day event featured a FIDE Rapid Chess Tournament on the first day, followed by a FIDE Blitz Tournament on the second.
AK Verma, head of operations at the All India Chess Federation (AICF), attended as the chief guest, while KM Warjri, chairman of the AICF Committee for Chess Development in the North East and Andaman and Nicobar Islands, was the guest of honor.
