Dimapur, August 4 (MExN): The Nagaland Department of Higher Education has invited fresh and renewal registrations for the Nagaland Government Ex-Gratia Scheme for Students Studying Outside Nagaland (NGESSO) for the academic year 2026-27.
Under the scheme, an ex gratia assistance of Rs 5 lakh is provided in the event of the unfortunate death of an indigenous Naga student from Nagaland pursuing studies outside the state in different parts of the country.
To avail the benefit, eligible students are required to register with the Directorate of Higher Education, Nagaland.
The department said registration forms for fresh applicants and renewals, along with detailed information on the scheme, are available for download from the Directorate's official website.
The last date for submission of registration forms is September 30, 2026.
