Kohima, May 27 (MExN): The Department of Industries & Commerce (DI&C), Nagaland, recognising their exceptional contributions across various fields, conferred the Entrepreneur Award for 2024 at an event held at its Directorate, Kohima, on May 27.
The recipients were Aolemba Longkumer of Country Craft; Seyielezo Putsure of the Entrepreneur School of Business; Dr Temjennungsang of Dental Touch & Facial Aesthetics; Hongba Phom of Fingerprint; Ruovilhoukho Chuzho of Naga Feather Pvt. Ltd; Huveta Huprem of Veta Studio; and Khuhevi Khuju of Zunheboto.
Congratulating all the awardees and commending their dedication and entrepreneurial spirit, DI&C Director P Tokugha Sema noted that the success of the Entrepreneur Award 2024 was the result of collective effort and teamwork.

He also acknowledged the vital support of the State Government of Nagaland and highlighted that the initiative was designed to recognise and celebrate the significant contributions of entrepreneurs to society and economic development.
Sema also appreciated Advisor DI&C Hekani Jakhalu for her instrumental role in bringing the event to fruition and for securing the necessary approvals from the government.
Meanwhile, Advisor Jakhalu reaffirmed the State Government’s commitment to fostering local entrepreneurship and promoting inclusive development.
She expressed her appreciation to the entrepreneurs for their resilience and contributions to societal progress and encouraged them to make use of various government schemes available to support their ventures.
She also underscored the importance of continuous growth, innovation, and learning.
Addressing both emerging and established entrepreneurs, the Advisor stressed the need to embrace new technologies and maintain a spirit of ambition.
She also assured the government’s readiness to collaborate with young and local entrepreneurs to build a stronger, more self-reliant economy.
Jakhalu further urged the awardees to stay focused on their goals and serve as mentors to aspiring entrepreneurs.
