Kohima, February 8 (MExN): The Labour Department has on February 7 informed that it has proposed to institute and distribute the State Safety Awards 2026.
According to a DIPR update, it stated that the award was proposed to recognize and encourage excellence in Occupational Safety, Health and Well-being, and to promote a strong safety culture across workplaces in the State.
Likewise, it has invited applications/ nominations from Factories, Construction Establishments, MSMEs and other Industrial Units operating in Nagaland for recognition of exemplary safety practices, effective accident prevention measures, and sustained commitment to Occupational Safety and Health (OSH).
It further stated that the awards are aimed to acknowledge organizations contributing to safer and healthier workplaces, and to encourage continuous improvement in safety management systems.
