Nagaland media team visited Arwah Cave, an important tourist destination at Cherrapunji in East Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya on March 27.

Arwah is a huge natural cavity formed underneath the earth’s surface by solution activity within the limestone rock, geologically classified as ‘Shella formation of Jaintia Group.’

The team, currently on media exposure tour organised by Directorate of Information & Public Relations (DIPR) Nagaland, also visited Nohkalikai waterfalls and Mawsmai Cave.

On March 26, the team visited Asia’s cleanest village Mawlynnong. Mawlynnong is located in East Khasi Hills and lies 79 km far from Shillong. The team also visited the Living Root Bridge. This Living Root Bridge was created by weaving the roots of the Ficus Elastica tree.
