New Delhi, October 26 (MExN): Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament from Nagaland, S Phangnon Konyak, attended Day One of the 12th BRICS Parliamentary Forum 2026 in New Delhi on Monday, which was inaugurated by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.
The Forum brings together parliamentary delegations from 21 countries, comprising 11 BRICS member countries and 10 partner countries, under the theme “Fostering Parliaments for People-Centric Development.”
Following the inaugural session, Konyak participated in the second plenary session on Innovation, themed “Harnessing Parliaments for Promoting Human-Centric Innovation in Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies,” a press release said.
The session focused on the role of parliaments in promoting human-centric innovation and advancing the responsible application of emerging technologies through parliamentary cooperation.
