Kohima, October 26 (MExN): The Pochury Youth Organisation (PYO) has advised all its members and constituent units to refrain from participating in the proposed public gathering convened by the Naga Youth Movement (NYM) at Lok Bhavan on October 28, in the name or official capacity of the PYO or any of its units.
In a press release issued by its Media Cell, the PYO said members and units must exercise due discretion and uphold the principles of organisational discipline and collective responsibility, particularly in matters that may have wider implications for the organisation and the community it represents.
Accordingly, no member or unit should participate in the said gathering in an official capacity, it said.
The advisory has been issued in the interest of preserving organisational unity, maintaining discipline and ensuring that the position and actions of the PYO remain consistent with the collective decisions and mandate of the Pochury community, the release said.
The organisation reiterated that any participation or representation in matters of organisational significance must be guided by due consideration and the established position of the organisation.
All members and constituent units have been requested to take note of the advisory and extend their full cooperation in upholding the integrity, unity and collective interests of the Pochury Youth Organisation, it added.
