SCERT informs on Nagaland Heritage Studies series

Kohima, October 19 (MExN): The State Council of Educational Research & Training (SCERT), Nagaland informed that it will facilitate the procuring of the Nagaland Heritage Studies series (MIL) Classes 1-8 and Nagaland Heritage Studies Series (English Version) Classes 5-8 textbooks for all private schools for the academic session 2020. Jakhama Baptist Church gospel camp retreat on Oct 20

Kohima, October 19 (MExN): Jakhama Baptist Church, Men’s Department will be conducting its Gospel Camp Retreat at Jakhama Baptist Church on October 20 with Kezhosato Savi Associate Pastor, Jakhama Baptist Church as speaker in the Sunday morning worship service. Reverend Dr Mechiehol Savi will be the speaker in the main session. A press release from Camp Director Kezhokhoto Savi stated that the Men’s Department of Jakhama Baptist Church under  the theme ‘To be renewed in the spirit of your minds’ conducted Gospel Camp at JBCC Mission Centre, Kipfiizha, Kigwema. More than hundred attended the camp which was divided into three groups – Daniel, David & Joshua. A new convert by the name Cholizhii was awarded the best camper. A good number of young fathers “accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour and God,” the release added. A successful camp, many young fathers committed to run their families with Christ, to give up their drinking habits, etc, it added.

 

SFS parish to conduct annual social work at common cemetery

Kohima, October 19 (MExN): St Francis De Sales (SFS ) Parish, Kohima Town will be organizing annual social work at the common cemetery near BSF Camp on October 26. In this regard, Reverend Fr Richard Fernandes, the parish priest requested the parishioners and others whose family members and relatives are buried at the graveyard to participate in the social work. Conveyance will be provided at Keziekie Bus Station at 9:00 am from where buses will proceed towards the cemetery, a press release stated. Participants are requested to bring tools such as spade, machete and other implements to clean the graveyard. The cleanliness activity will be carried out in preparation for the All Souls’ Day which will be observed on November 2.
