Kevekha Kevin appointed NSSB Chairman

The Governor of Nagaland has appointed Kevekha Kevin Zehol as Chairman of the NSSB for a term of 3 years or till he attains the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier. This was informed in a notification issued by Nagaland Chief Secretary Dr J Alam. Zehol was the former Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur District. He was also Commissioner & Secretary of Land Resources, Government of Nagaland. Zehol is likely to assume the office of NSSB by coming Tuesday.

Highway closure in upper Jalukie

Jalukie, April 11 (MExN): The Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC) of Jalukie has issued a travel advisory announcing the temporary closure of National Highway 129A at Upper Jalukie Sector A due to ongoing hill cutting work. According to the notification, the highway will remain closed to all vehicular movement until April 15. The restriction aims to facilitate the smooth progress of the highway construction and ensure the safety of commuters during the operation. To mitigate inconvenience, the EAC advised commuters to use the diversion route via the old road from Upper Jalukie to Peren Town.
