NGRCCU informs
KOHIMA, APRIL 2 (MExN): In view of the Directorate of Urban Development, Nagaland seeking list of Registered first class contractors along with their work experience and the same is required for finalizing their Strategic Procurement Plan (SPP), the Nagaland Govt Registered Class- I Contractors Union notified that interested Nagaland Government registered Class –I Contractors can collect the form from the office of the NGRCCU from April 1 to 15.
This was stated in a release issued by NGRCCU president Theyiekielie Tachii and Secretary Abel P. Shohe.
DC Tuensang notifies on Governor's Awards
KOHIMA, APRIL 2 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner Tuensang Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa has issued a notice to all the sub-division and department heads in Tuensang that the Directorate of Art & Culture Kohima, Nagaland has invited recommendations for the Governor’s Award for distinction in Art, Music and Literature 2025 to be conferred on "Eminent Practitioners, Teachers or Promoter of Art, Music and Literature in the State " on the occasion of Independence Day, August 15 at Raj Bhavan Kohima.
In this regard, the heads of offices of Tuensang District have been requested to submit a list of deserving persons along with the applicant’s bio-data/ profile, reason for selection, supporting documents etc to the office on or before April 30 for onward submission to the Government.
EDTC enforces prior approval for advertisements
DIMAPUR, APRIL 2 (MExN): The East Dimapur Town Council (EDTC) has informed all its residents, business establishments and advertising agencies that prior written permission from the EDTC office is mandatory for displaying any form of advertisement, including hoarding, banners, posters within its jurisdiction.
This regulation is enforced under the Nagaland Municipal Act 2023 and any unauthorized advertisements will be removed without notice and violators will be liable to penalties. The public has been urged to comply with this directive to maintain civic order.
Keep portable fire extinguishers in shops: KMC
KOHIMA, APRIL 2 (MExN): In light of the dangers of fire outbreak in commercial establishments causing loss of life, property and livelihood and in line with the guidelines issued by Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) from time to time, all the business establishments/shops under Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) have been directed to keep portable fire extinguishers in their establishments/shops on or before May 31.
Taking into consideration shortage in bulk availability of fire extinguishers in Kohima, the KMC has taken the initiative to procure it and will be made available at a nominal rate.
The fire extinguisher may be collected from the office of KMC during working hours from April 14.

GPRN/NSCN (U) reaffirms leadership
DIMAPUR, APRIL 2 (MExN): Following a joint council meeting held on April 1 in response to the March 22 incident, the Konyak, Yimkhiung, Zeliangrong, Angami and Lotha Regions, and Administrative Affairs of Garo, Kachari, Gorkha and Arunachal under GPRN/NSCN (Unification) “unanimously re-affirmed to firmly stand by and extend unwavering support and assistance to the collective leadership of President, Gen. (Retd.) M.B Neokpao Konyak and Ato Kilonser, Alezo Venuh under the banner of GPRN/NSCN (Unification).”
An MIP release informed that the GPRN/NSCN (U) expressed full confidence in the leadership to carry forward the collective vision of reconciliation and advance for an early resolution of the Naga political issue.
