State scholarship portal for PwDs opens from Jul 20
KOHIMA, JULY 16 (MExN): The Department of Social Welfare, Nagaland has announced that online applications for the State Scholarship Scheme for Persons with Disabilities (Classes I-VIII) for the academic session 2026 will open on July 20 on the Common Scholarship Portal of Nagaland. Both fresh applicants and renewal candidates can apply through the official website: https://scholarship.nagaland.gov.in. The eligibility criteria and scheme guidelines are available on the portal. The last date for submission of applications is November 30, 2026.
NLA committee to hold Pfutsero consultation
Kohima, July 16 (MExN): A consultative meeting with village council chairmen and VDB secretaries of Pfutsero Sadar and the Pfutsero Town Council will be held on July 22, as part of a visit by the Nagaland Legislative Assembly’s Committee on Urban Local Bodies and Nagaland Village Councils. The Committee, chaired by K Tokugha Sukhalu, will visit Pfutsero Town to discuss matters related to The Nagaland Municipal Act, 2023, and The Nagaland Village and Tribal Councils Act, 1978 (as amended up to 2022). All Committee members have been requested to join the visit.
