World Glaucoma Week 2025 was observed at District Hospital Dimapur by District National Programme for Control of Blindness & Visual Impairment (NPCB & VI) Dimapur under the theme ‘Unitary for a Glaucoma Free World’ from March 9 to 15. During the observation, Dr Asonla Aying, Senior Specialist and team screened a total no of 150 patients, out of which three new patients were detected with glaucoma. Follow up treatment services were also provided for previously detected patients. Dr Asonla and team also visited steel fabrication and welding workshops around Dimapur town to spread awareness and distributed around 100 protection glasses to the welders and steel fabrication workers.
