The ICFAI University Nagaland celebrated Freshers’ Day 2026 on August 19 with a vibrant programme to welcome the new batch. The event began with an invocation and welcome address, followed by musical performances and a freshers’ speech. Highlights included the introduction of the Students’ Council 2026–27, a traditional round, poetry recitation, and duet and solo dance performances. Freshers also showcased their talent and confidence in casual and formal rounds. The day ended with a vote of thanks and the announcement of results.

Immanuel College, Dimapur celebrated its graduation ceremony for the batch of 2026 on August 21, conferring degrees upon 189 graduates at the College Auditorium. Paul Lokho, Director of Pro Rural, graced the occasion as the commencement speaker. Emphasising the need for excellence, Lokho stressed the importance of deep learning and thorough preparation, urging graduates to develop expertise beyond surface-level knowledge. He reminded them that while opportunities are available to all, success depends on recognising and seizing them through informed choices and decisive action. Felicitation of nine University toppers from various departments, felicitation of teachers and presentation of graduation certificates were among the highlights of the event. Graduation speeches were delivered by Songmo Khiamniungan and Sahina Begam. 
Model Christian College, Kohima, celebrated its 18th Annual Freshers’ Meet 2026 on August 21 at the College Auditorium under the theme ‘Beyond Ordinary’. Thrukhumto T Yimchunger and Kriizhiini were crowned Mr. and Miss Freshers 2026, respectively. Students’ Council President Jangneichoi Kipgen delivered the welcome address. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by General Secretary Amy Keptho, followed by the closing prayer pronounced by Principal-in-Charge Dr. Mhabemo Odyuo.
MGM College, Dimapur observed its Freshers’ Day 2026 on August 20, with the theme “New Beginnings, Endless Possibilities.” The event began with a welcome address by Tokupu, Assistant General Secretary of the Students’ Council. Fr Shaiju Philip, Administrator of MGM College, addressed the gathering. Chief Guest Rev Fr Sajan Joseph, Executive Director of DAN, urged students to prioritise integrity and dedication in their academic pursuits. The Mr. and Miss Fresher competition saw Armen from the Department of History crowned Mr. Fresher, while Jimei from the Department of Sociology was declared Miss Fresher.
