As called by Food Safety & Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) for a nationwide special festive drive with regard to the upcoming Holi festival for ensuring food safety, quality and prevention of adulteration, the Food Safety Team (Enforcement & Food Safety on Wheels) of Mokokchung Zone led by Sukumlo Yanthan, Food Safety Officer conducted the ‘Holi- Anti-adulteration Drive 2025’ on March 13 at MMC marketing complex. “On spot testing of food items such as milk, ghee, edible oil, butter, rasgulla, gulabjamun etc were tested for adulteration as it is well known that the demand for these products rise significantly during festive seasons,” stated a press release issued by the Chief Medical Officers’ office, Mokokchung.
A free physiotherapy and dental camp was organised by the Diezephe VLO, NSRLM BMMU Dhansiripar, at Diezephe village, under Dhansiripar block, Chümoukedima district in collaboration with Care Plus Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Clinic and Dental Care Clinic on March 13 at Diezephe Council Hall. The camp aimed to promote the importance of health and availing health services, while offering free consultations and medicines to participants. The consulting doctors were Dr Peteneiü Faith Vizo, Dental Surgeon and Dr Sedenuo Metha, Physiotherapist. A total of 65 participants (42 females, 23 males) availed the free services of the camp. The keynote speaker, Dr Ayilobeni Kikon, Assistant Professor from Department of Civil Engineering in her message emphasised on the goals of sustainable development and the importance of its success in this modern era. She provided an explanation of the significance of the worldwide issue of climate change, including what it is, what causes it, and how we may lessen its effects. In her closing remarks, she urged everyone to contribute to the fight against climate change.
