Dimapur, April 11 (MExN): Nagaland State was awarded the first position in Mandatory Biometric Updates (MBU) of children during the Aadhaar Samvaad held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, on April 8, organised by UIDAI, MeitY, Government of India.

The Commissioner of Nagaland, who also serves as the Registrar for Aadhaar in the state, along with the Deputy Commissioners, has been spearheading intensive enrolment drives for children. These concerted efforts have resulted in a significant increase in the number of MBUs, stated a DIPR report.

Registrar for Aadhaar, Nagaland, KS Anden Konyak IAS expressed his appreciation to all the Deputy Commissioners for their relentless efforts, which brought this recognition to the state. He stated that this achievement was made possible due to their continuous and dedicated work across the districts.
