Nagaland Super League to kick off on January 28

DIMAPUR, JANUARY 18 (MExN): The much-anticipated Nagaland Super League (NSL) is set to kick off its inaugural season on January 28, promising to be Nagaland’s biggest football showdown to date. The league will run from January 28 to March 31, with seven top football clubs competing for the coveted championship title.

Organized by the Nagaland Football Association and sponsored by the Government of Nagaland, the NSL is set to be a landmark event in the region’s football calendar, a press release stated. The league is being held in collaboration with the Nagaland Olympic Association and supported by the Department of Youth Resources & Sports. It has received approval and licensing from the All-India Football Federation (AIFF).

Football fans can look forward to exciting matches every Wednesday and Saturday, offering both midweek and weekend entertainment for enthusiasts. Matches will be held at two stadiums-the Chümoukedima Football Stadium and Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima. Complete match fixtures will be announced soon.
