Nagaland team to participate at Open Taekwondo Championship

KOHIMA, MARCH 29 (MExN): The Nagaland Taekwondo team is currently in Guwahati to participate at the Kimungyong Open Taekwondo Championship India 2019 which will be held from March 29 to the 31.
The team is representing Nagaland Taekwondo Association (NTA) who will participate in different categories at DTRP indoor stadium Guwahati.
The State coach informed that a total of 17 member including 15 players from Sports Academy along with two officials, and two players from Jalukie club under Peren district will be taking part in Kyorugi in different age groups.
The team is led by Visabiu Peseyie, State Taekwondo Coach, Department of Youth Resources and Sports and Kenilevo Nagi as team manager.
The team taking part for sub junior category (under -11 years) are Lensethong, Manong A. T. Konyak, Manhei Konyak, Lhuvosayi, Thongti Thonger, Lungkan Phom and H.Wanghan Phom.
Those in the cadet category (under-14) are Nnumhei,T. Kiutsu, Hinglakpo; and those in the junior category (under -17) are Neikhozo Naprantsu, Nahson Disuang, Repinkiu N Tikhir, Vilabizo Nagi, Zakieneikho Peseyie.
The senior category (above -17 years) players include Haihingsap Nriame and Keyinghigongbe.
Peseyie, State coach informed that two taekwondo players have secured a silver and bronze medal for sub-junior category on the first day. Lungkan Phom secured a bronze medal under U-32 kg and Manhei Konyak under 25 kg secured a silver medal.
