Nagaland University announces Japanese language certificate course

Kohima, February 12 (MExN): The Centre of Excellence for Foreign Languages under the Department of Linguistics, Nagaland University (NU), Kohima Campus, has announced the launch of a Japanese Language Certificate Course. The last date for submission of application forms is February 25.

Titled “Learn Japanese in Just a Few Months,” the course aims to enhance employability and expand career opportunities for youth, according to a University release.

The programme is an initiative of the Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN), Government of Nagaland, and Nagaland University in collaboration with ARMS Incorporation, Japan.

The course, covering N5 and N4 levels, is designed to equip learners with practical Japanese language proficiency and provide structured pathways to employment opportunities in Japan as well as in Japanese companies operating in India.

According to NU, the programme will offer opportunities to work in Japan for up to three years, along with pre-interview training for placements in Japan and Japanese companies in India. The course also features subsidised fees and expert guidance to help learners achieve fluency efficiently.

The programme is open to students, working professionals and language enthusiasts.

The minimum qualification required is a pass in Class 10,
