PUNGRO, JUNE 7 (MExN): The School Ministry of the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) conducted a two-day teachers' training programme on June 4 and 5 at the EBRC Hall, Pungro Town, for member schools under the Pungro Area.
Forty-one teachers from four member schools — in Mimi, Moya, Pungro Town, and Pungro Village — attended the training, which aimed at enhancing teaching effectiveness, strengthening mentorship skills, and reaffirming the vision and objectives of mission schools.
The resource team comprised Principal of Christian Higher Secondary School (CHSS), Dimapur, Moa Walling, members of the CHSS Teachers' Team, and representatives from the NBCC School Ministry.
Sessions covered basic teaching skills, mentorship, soft skills, and parental relationships. Subject-specific practical training was also conducted for teachers of Mathematics, Science, Social Sciences, Foundational, and English, facilitated by the CHSS team.
Participants were encouraged to pursue professional excellence while nurturing Christ-centred values in their educational ministries. The programme concluded with a certificate presentation and a collective challenge to continue serving as educators and mentors in their respective communities.
The resource team was hosted jointly by Pungro Village Baptist Church and Pungro Town Baptist Church. EBRC Coordinator Birimong and his team supported coordination of the event.
