Capt Regina Razousinuo promoted to Major
Kohima, April 3 (MExN): The promotion pipping ceremony of Capt Regina Razousinuo, Associate NCC Officer (Senior Wing) of St Joseph's College (Autonomous), Jakhama was performed by Brig Shantanu P Mainkar, Group Commander, NCC Group of Nagaland and Col Lovelesh Panghal, CO, 1 Nagaland Battalion NCC, Kohima at Raj Bhavan, Kohima on March 29.
Following the ceremony, she was promoted to the rank of Major (from the rank of Captain). She is the first Associate NCC Officer in Nagaland to have been promoted to this rank, SJC (A), Jakhama stated in a press release.
At a felicitation programme for NCC cadets and staff held at Raj Bhavan, Kohima on March 30. One NCC staff, four cadets and one ex-cadet of SJC (A), Jakhama were among the NCC staff and cadets acknowledged by La Ganesan, Governor of Nagaland.
They were Capt Avizo Richa, ANO (SD) for securing "B" Grade in Pre-Commissioned Course (PRCN) and “A” Grade in NCC Refresher Course; SUO Putusenla Jamir for being in All India NCC Girls' Marching Contingent (Kartavya Path) at Republic Day Camp-2025, New Delhi; SGT Thushila Yimchunger for being in Cultural Events & Prime Minister's Rally at Republic Day Camp-2025, New Delhi; CSM Mharoni R. Kikon for participating in Shooting at All India ThalSainik Camp-2024, New Delhi; SGT Vimegotso Zinyü for being the Platoon Commander of NCC Boys Contingent at Republic Day Parade-2025 at Kohima and SUO Litina Aye (ex-cadet) for bagging three gold medals in 6th Meghalaya Shooting Competition-2025, two silver medals in North East Zone Shooting Championship-2024, and one silver and one bronze medal in Meghalaya State Shooting Championship-2024.
Each of them received a cash award of Rs 5000, a citation and a gift.
