DIMAPUR, MAY 29 (MExN): The Narco Co-ordination Centre (NCORD) team in Dimapur conducted surprise inspections at various pharmacies across Dimapur town on Thursday to assess compliance with drug regulation norms.
The inspection team was led by T. Zubeno Kikon, Drugs Control Officer, and included Imliwabang Aier, EAC Sadar; Mankup T. Konyak, Dy. SP (P); UBSI Nzabemo Kithan; and UBC Lishang Lotha.
The team focused on checking adherence to norms governing the sale and documentation of Schedule H and H1 drugs, narcotic and psychotropic substances, as well as the installation of surveillance systems like CCTVs. Several anomalies were detected during the inspection, particularly related to the non-maintenance of sale records for narcotic and psychotropic drugs.
The team also seized restricted drugs from pharmacies found in violation of norms and investigations have been initiated.
The Drugs Control Officer, Dimapur, has reiterated directives to all pharmacies in Dimapur to procure indent certificates for restricted drugs from the department and to maintain accurate sales records of Schedule H and H1 drugs as mandated under the law.
