The Nagaland Contractors’ & Suppliers’ Union (NCSU) has celebrated Advent Christmas-cum-50 Years of NCSU Thanksgiving on December 13 at Pele Khezhie Stadium, Riiziezou D’Khel, Kohima Village.
NCSU president Pele Khezhie said that there is no worth naming industrial activities in Nagaland except for construction works and requested everyone to support the NCSU in carrying forward the developmental activities in the state.
He informed that Nitin Gadkari, union minister of Road Transport & Highways will grace the Golden Jubilee celebration of the NCSU in early part of 2026.
He also called upon the NCSU members to stay united and put concerted effort towards the successful celebration of the upcoming golden jubilee.
Kohima Superintendent of Police (SP) Krodi Rhetso complimented the NCSU for attaining 50 glorious years. Your contribution and service to the people of Nagaland is immense, he said.
He also urged upon the NCSU to involve local engineers, architect and local youth in the construction activities to boost the local economy.
Rhetso appreciated the NCSU for instituting Best Traffic Award as a yearly affair, describing it as a big morale boost for traffic personnel to provide better service to the people.
Rev Velavoyi Keyho, Pastor, Phezoucha Nagamese Baptist Church graced the event as the speaker and asked the people to come closer to God.
He also called upon the people the spread the message of care, love and peace during Christmas.
“Whatever you do, put God first,” he said.
Meanwhile, Khrievotuo-ii Zumvii of North Traffic Control and Nuseta Medeo of South Traffic Control Kohima have been conferred with the Best Traffic Awards 2025 in female and male category respectively.
The programme was chaired by KL Setuo Rutsa, Vice President NCSU while welcome address was delivered by NCSU secretary Tseibu Khesoh.
Inato Assume presented a special number. NCSU advisor T Yanger Imchen and S K Rengma pronounced invocation and benediction respectively. Vote of thanks was proposed by Hoshito Assumi.
