Maligaon, October 31 (MExN): The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) observed the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) at Maligaon, NFR Hq on October 31. All the five divisions of NF Railway also observed the day.
At Maligaon, a pledge taking ceremony was lead by Anshul Gupta, General Manager, NFR. He lighted the lamp and paid floral tributes to the portrait of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and administered pledge to all present. He was accompanied by senior railway officials of NFR along with the Ex- Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court, Dhiresh Narayan Chowdhury as chief guest.
The General Manager also flagged off a ‘Run for Unity’ from the NFRSA stadium and concluded at the NFR Hq premises. Railway staff, officers and their families, sports persons, RPF & volunteers of Scouts & Guides participated in the ‘Run for Unity.’
