MALIGAON, MARCH 26 (MExN): The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has completed the integration of Data Loggers with the Control Office Application (COA) of the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), marking a significant step toward improving train automation and operational efficiency. This system now enables real-time monitoring of train arrivals and departures at 59 key stations across NFR.
The new system uses signalling data to automatically detect train movements at stations, transmitting this information directly to the COA. By automating the data capture process, the system reduces the need for manual entry, improving the accuracy of train operation data and minimizing delays and errors.
The system has been implemented at all originating, destination, divisional interchange, and zonal interchange stations within NFR. With the recent addition of 21 stations, the integration now covers all critical locations across the zone, ensuring the automated transmission of train-related data to the CRIS server.
This development aims to enhance the accuracy of train movement records, streamline decision-making for railway controllers, and contribute to improved train punctuality and passenger information systems.
