NFR to run three pairs of festive special trains

Maligaon, September 2 (MExN): In a move to manage the anticipated extra rush of passengers during the forthcoming festive season, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) will operate three pairs of festive special trains to certain destinations. 

The special trains include train No. 04195/04196 running between Agra Cantt and Jogbani from September 12 to November 29, for a total of 11 trips from both directions. Train No. 05978/05977 will run between Dibrugarh and Gorakhpur from September 17 to November 6, 2025, for 7 trips, and train No. 05736/05735 will operate between Katihar and Amritsar from September 17 to November 7, also for 7 trips from both directions.

The Agra Cantt – Jogbani special, train No. 04195, will depart from Agra Cantonment every Friday at 05:00 hours, except on September 26, and will arrive at Jogbani at 18:45 hours on Saturday. Its return counterpart, train No. 04196, will depart from Jogbani every Saturday at 21:00 hours, except on September 27, arriving at Agra Cantonment at 07:10 hours on Monday.

The Dibrugarh-Gorakhpur special, train No. 05978, is scheduled to depart from Dibrugarh every Wednesday at 09:10 hours, except on September 24, reaching Gorakhpur at 19:00 hours the following day. 

In the return direction, train No. 05977 will leave Gorakhpur every Thursday at 21:30 hours, except on September 25, and will arrive at Dibrugarh at 10:30 hours on Saturday.

The Katihar–Amritsar special, train No. 05736, will depart from Katihar every Wednesday at 21:00 hours, except on September 24, and is scheduled to reach Amritsar at 09:45 hours on Friday. For the return journey, train No. 05735 will depart from Amritsar every Friday at 13:25 hours, except on September 26, arriving at Katihar at 23:45 hours on Saturday.

The details of stoppages and timings of these trains are available in IRCTC website and are also being notified in various newspapers and social media platforms of NF Railway.
