Night curfew has been imposed in all the Meghalaya villages falling within 5 kilometres of the International border under Pynursla civil sub-division.
This was informed by Additional District Magistrate, Pynursla civil sub-division, D Hynniewta on Friday who said that this night curfew will come into effect from 8 pm to 6 am from Friday till May 31.
Hynniewta informed that this is being done to put in place preventive and mitigation measures to identify and take more stringent steps so that the Covid-19 pandemic is contained, reduced and eliminated in Pynursla civil sub-division.
He also specified that this curfew will be in effect in villages falling within five kilometers of the international border pillars numbering 1251 to 1272.
