NNC/FGN mourns passing of Lt Gen (Retd) Jackson Pfithu

DIMAPUR, APRIL 1 (MExN): The NNC/GN has announced the passing of Lt. Gen. (Retd) Jackson Pfithu, Deputy Kilonser of the NNC/FGN, who died on March 30.

Pfithu, a native of Reguri Village in the Pochury Region and son of Kochu Pfithu, joined the Naga national movement in 1988. Although his tenure with the NNC/FGN was brief, the organization described him as a seasoned leader who served under multiple Naga nationalist political frameworks.

In a condolence message issued by the Ministry of Information and Publicity of the NNC/FGN, Pfithu was remembered for his dedication, leadership, and contribution to the Naga nationalist cause. “His love, dedication, and contribution to the Naga cause have left an indelible mark in the history of Naga Nationalism,” the statement read. “The Nation will forever be grateful for his selfless commitment and invaluable service.”

The NNC/FGN extended heartfelt condolences to his wife, family, and friends, expressing hope that they find comfort in the knowledge that his legacy will live on.
