DIMAPUR, APRIL 11 (MExN): The Government of India and the NSCN-K (Khango) have mutually agreed to extend their ceasefire agreement for another year, from April 18, 2025, to April 17, 2026. The extension was signed on April 11 in New Delhi by representatives of both parties. According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, the move is aimed at “bringing about a lasting peace in the State of Nagaland with the involvement of Naga people.” The agreement specifies that the ceasefire will be subject to adherence to Ceasefire Ground Rules, which have been mutually agreed upon.
