NSCN/GPRN (Akato) president mourns demise of KV Nurumi

DIMAPUR, MAY 30 (MExN): NSCN/GPRN president Akato Chophi has expressed profound grief and shock at the demise of prominent journalist Khetoho (Toto) Nurumi, who passed away on May 30 at Olive Hospital, Dimapur.

In a condolence message, Chophi stated, “My shock is beyond comprehension at the unfortunate demise of Late Khetoho (Toto) Nurumi. In my association with Late Toto, I knew him to be the embodiment of all that is good in life—an amalgamation of a brilliant writer’s potential, an outspoken individual, and a benevolent character who was adored and admired by one and all.”

He described the late journalist as a person of great potential, whose passing is a tremendous loss not only to the media fraternity but also to the Sumi community in particular and the Nagas in general.

Offering prayers for the departed soul, he said, “May the good Lord rest his soul in eternal peace and provide solace and comfort to his family, loved ones, and friends during their time of grief.”
