DIMAPUR, JANUARY 30 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN (Khango-Vusshe) today extended greetings to “all Naga Compatriots and well-wishers, at home and across the world” on the occasion of NSCN Raising Day.
“This day marks the historic formation of the Nationalist Socialist Council of Nagaland on 31st January 1980, It symbolizes the unyielding commitment to the cause of the Nagas for self-determination, rooted in the unique identity and the blood of our Martyrs fertilized in this very soil we stand today. We honor their vision, courage and supreme sacrifices which laid the foundation of our national movement,” a press release from the MIP stated.
It reaffirmed commitment to remain a “vanguard of our political rights, history, identity and the indomitable spirit of the Naga people and our unwavering resolve to live as a free and dignified nation.” “External forces persist in fragmenting our nation in the face of ceaseless aggression, divide and rule tactics and delayed political solution but through all this contentious ploys we will remain steadfast to defend our land, uphold our values and persevere with patience, discipline and courage,” it stated.
It further called upon all Nagas to remain united beyond factionalism, tribe and region, and to strengthen the spirit of reconciliation and national unity.
"Let this Raising Day ignite our collective will.’ Our strength lies in shared purpose and unwavering loyalty to the Naga future,” it added.
