DIMAPUR, February 19 (MExN): Barak FC, 27 United FC and Longterok FC emerged victorious in their respective matches on Matchday 8 of the Nagaland Super League (NSL), securing crucial points in the competition.
At the Chümoukedima Football Stadium, Barak FC defeated Red Scars FC 2-0, climbing to the top of the league table with 16 points.
After a goalless first half, Kenumdi broke the deadlock in the 63rd minute and added another in the 79th, sealing a well-earned victory for his team.
Kenumdi was named Player of the Match for his decisive performance.
Meanwhile, at Indara Gandhi Stadium in Kohima, 27 United FC dominated Frontier Warriors FC with a resounding 4-0 win.
Jangjagin Kuki starred in the match, scoring twice, assisting one, and forcing an own goal.
Lungmedou opened the scoring in the 14th minute, while an own goal by FWFC’s goalkeeper in the 42nd minute compounded their troubles.
Jangjagin outstanding display earned him the Player of the Match title.
In the second match at Chümoukedima Football Stadium, Longterok FC defeated Sechü Zubza FC 2-0,.
