One person was killed on the spot while another was injured in an alleged attack by miscreants in Thongtso village under Noklak district in the early hours of November 18.
According to official sources, the attackers also burned down 8 houses and a Morung in the village. They also informed that the injured person was in a critical condition.
While the cause of the incident was yet to be ascertained, the Deputy Commissioner and the Superintendent of Police were both unavailable for comments at the time of filing the report.
